Well, it’s not much, but any reason to celebrate is a good one. Someone asked me last weekend how many books I’ve sold since releasing my first one six months ago (Praying the Gospels with Martin Luther) and my second book (In Living Color: The Lord’s Prayer) four months ago. I estimated low and made a guess.
When I got home, I decided I should really have a better handle on the actual numbers being sold. So I checked my monthly totals and was glad to see it was three times as high as my estimate. To make a long story short, I just passed the 500 mark in sales (and paid borrows) for print and ebook downloads in six months.
Seeing that the average number of sales most books reach is 200, I think I’ll celebrate. So this week I’m going to give away ebook number two (on Wednesday and Thursday – Sept. 12 &13). And next week, I’ll be giving away ebook number one (on Tuesday and Wednesday – Sept. 18 & 19).
If you want a reminder to show up on your Facebook page, go to my author page and “like” it so you can get notices of this and any future giveaways, specials, or the news of my coming release – “In Living Color: The Beatitudes.” It’s almost to the point of sending to the editor, so I hope you’ll see it in about a month.
